This is an original Bird lounge chair and coordinating ottoman, Models 423LU/424YU, initially designed by Harry Bertoia for Knoll in 1952. These examples of the chairs were produced in the USA in the 2010s. The ottomans are older, but were freshly sandblasted and restored to match the chairs. The listed price includes one lounge chair and ottoman set, and we have two sets available for purchase. Their design features a body that is formed from interlocking steel wire, and these examples are coated in black. Both chairs have the Knoll insignia stamped into the back of each seat.
Each chair measures 33 inches deep, 38.5 inches wide, and is 40.25 inches high. They have a seat height of 14.5 inches. Each ottoman measures 17.25 inches deep, 23.5 inches wide, and is 14.5 inches high. The sets are in stellar condition with light wear. Please see photos.
